Choose from Three Options

  • $39 for any two-hour photography seminar for one (a $97 value)
  • $75 for any two-hour photography seminar for two (a $194 value)
  • $159 for a six-week Introduction to Photography class (a $377 value).

Landers Photography School hosts a minimum of 150 seminars and workshops each year, during which participants can learn how to professionally man cameras and use lighting equipment and a variety of lenses through lectures, discussion, and hands-on application. Professional photographers also lead seminars covering more specific themes such as Getting to Know Your Camera, Taking Better Vacation Pictures, and Portraits, as well as workshops on photo manipulation with Photoshop and on-location photo shoots of families.

Burgeoning shutterbugs may sharpen skills during a six-week Intro to Photography class, where students explore the general landscape of photographic equipment and technique, aperture and shutter control, basic exposure, focus control, depth-of-field, motion capture, and basic composition theory.

Landers Photography School

San Antonio native Jim Landers has spent a lifetime behind the lens. After graduating from Sam Houston State with a degree in photography, he started Landers Photography School. Jim's work has appeared everywhere from the pages of The Knot, advertisements for Mercedes and Whataburger, and even the galleries of Smithsonian Institution. The team of Instructors at Landers is no less impressive. Jim Binegar is one of the few PPA master photographers in the area, Victor Watson has taught all over the USA, and Jack Braden brings more than 24 years of experience to the team and has photographed assignments worldwide capturing images of ordinary people, celebrities, and world leaders.
