Lane Motor Museum’s curators pick the most unique specimens from a collection of more than 330 cars and motorcycles to display on the extensive exhibit floors. Rows of vintage vehicles gleam beneath the gallery’s lights, which highlight such standouts as the Tatra T-87 and the Sima-Violet dating back to 1924. The museum boasts one of the nation’s largest collection of European cars as well as strange and unique designs, such as a car powered by a propeller, a 100-ton amphibious vehicle, and a sedan that runs on Diet Mountain Dew. Visit the Cars & Motorcycles: Companies Who Made Both exhibit to compare two- and four-wheel designs by BMW, Honda, and Vespa, and contrast the characteristics of street cars and their twp-wheeled counterparts.

The indoor kids’ play area gives diminutive museum-goers plenty to do, including games, coloring activities, and open space for doing donuts on a tricycle. Children can also feel the thrill of speed in a racing-simulation game followed by a trip to virtual traffic court.
