The environment is always good. Waitress is very professional and checked in with us a few times. Roast duck dinner is one of our favorite at this location!

very good sampling experience. overall food met (but did not exceed) expectations. the courses come out fast, which we enjoyed. chinese food is served family style so having all the courses come out fast is a feature. tips for potential enjoyed the duck wraps made in house. they stayed hot and soft the entire time we dined. the taste and texture is unique and well done

Their 7 course dinner was served too fast, included a dish too spicy to eat, and a soup that was bland. The duck and the duck skin were okay. The house wine was good. I felt the dishes were dumped, not served.

Ok overall experience. Bought as a Christmas gift . Upon arrival we were told to wait to be seated, took about 10 min, and another 10 to get a server..which I had to ask for. Once we got her she was nice and attentive. Food was very greasy, duck was nice. Once you get your check taxes and 18% gratuity is added automatically (which is fine, and you can add additional tip if you wish)

About Lao Sze Chuan

With a fourth-floor view of the Magnificent Mile, Lao Sze Chuan must rely on its cuisine to transport diners to the Sichuan province. But it succeeds in that gambit with heaping plates of dry-chili chicken, pan-fried bao sprinkled with black sesame seeds, and pea-pod leaves sautéed with garlic. The house specialty, peking duck, is carved tableside, its fragrant housemade sweet sauce greeting diners' noses with every slice. Refreshing drinks, including Tsingtao beer and Hennessy with green tea, provide authentic complements to the food.
