The chefs at Las Palmas don't just cook great Mexican food; they also cook up tributes to their heritage. Member of the kitchen team utilizes recipes passed down from their parents, who grew up in the Michoacan region of Mexico. That means lots of fresh avocados, as well as slow-cooked carnitas with plenty of peppers and onions. These authentic dishes have made the family-owned restaurant a favorite in St. Louis since it opened in 1997. Now with three locations, Las Palmas continues to plate up even more fresh, from-scratch dishes, including its ever-popular chimichangas. The menu features several chimichanga variations, including one packed with diced shrimp, mushrooms, red peppers, and cilantro rice. Fajitas, tortas, enchiladas, and other Mexican favorites round out the lengthy selection along with plenty of margaritas, imported cervezas, and sangria loaded with fresh fruit.
