The skilled pilots and instructors of Las Vegas Glider Rides have suspended more than 6,000 passengers through blue skies over scenic desert landscapes during its decade in business. Couples, friends, and strangers conjoined by a serendipitous drop of super glue can experience a 30–45-minute sky-floating session after a brief on-the-ground powwow to learn all controls and maneuvers. When it's time to take off, a plane tows the glider into the air on a 200-foot line. After reaching the optimal altitude, passengers take the helm and release the glider into the waiting arms of the sky. While the pilot offers guidance, aviators attempt turns, dives, climbs, and jazz wings. A 7.5-minute video featuring in-cockpit shots of the soaring experience, combined with preshot angles from the wing and tail, offer a cinematic account of each flight.
