Love, Sex and the IRS centers around Jon and Leslie, two heterosexual men who've been roommates for years. In an attempt to save money, Jon has filed income tax returns listing the pair as married. But the plan quickly goes awry when the IRS comes to investigate. Now, Leslie must masquerade as Jon's wife, while Jon's mother comes by to meet her son's real fiancée Kate, and the landlord -- who doesn't approve of unwed couples under the same roof -- pokes around. A farce of mistaken identities and hilariously tangled subplots, Love, Sex and the IRS is I Love Lucy-meets-Some Like it Hot set in late-'70s New York City.
