About Las Vegas Southwest Tours

For most people, the beauty of the Southwest is irrevocably linked to the Grand Canyon. And Las Vegas Southwest Tours' guides will certainly take visitors to peek over its edge. However, they know the region inside and out, and their tours uncover hidden gems, too. Below, three of the excursions that start in Sin City, then lead visitors off the beaten path.

The London Bridge Tour

Understandably, the London Bridge is often stereotyped as "being in London." However, it was actually auctioned off and relocated years ago, and now arcs over Arizona's Lake Havasu. On this tour, visitors jet-boat down the Colorado River to see it, passing through Topock Gorge—a journey on which visitors can spot Native American petroglyphs and volcanic rock formations.

The Scenic Railroad Tour

This trip takes passengers from Las Vegas to Sedona in a train powered by a vintage locomotive. The views along the way are spectacular: a mix of lush national forest and red rock canyons like the Verde Canyon, dotted with agave, cacti, and rare but beautiful baked goods.

The Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Tour

A marvel of the industrial age, the Hoover Dam attracts nearly a million visitors each year. On this five-to-six hour tour, visitors get to explore this famous dam, and take in breathtaking views of science and nature working in harmony. The tour is topped off with an exhilarating helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam's reservoir Lake Mead, the nation's largest man-made lake.
