What You'll Get

In the future, aristocrats will “slap” each other using a glove-slapping iPhone app, effectively committing to hair-singing laser duels with robots acting as their "second." Prepare to defend yourself against belligerent bluebloods with today’s Groupon. For $21, you get two armbands for a day of unlimited indoor laser tag, Aeroball, and rock climbing at Laser Adventure, located in Goodletsville at the Drakes Creek Activity Center's indoor complex.

Laser Adventure’s indoor laser-tag facility hosts epic 20-minute rounds of shootouts in the style of paintball but without the messy splatter or irritating welts. Participants are outfitted with realistically sized laser guns, instead of those comically oversized laser guns used in English period dramas, and blast-receptive headgear that helps avoid frustrating “I hit you, nuh uh” shooting quarrels of childhood make-believe wars. If future zero gravity excites you more than light-based weaponry, try an intense, 10-minute match of Aeroball, which combines volleyball and basketball with trampoline leaps that let you achieve Mario Brothers air times. Rock climbing is also available for those who prefer the traditional pastimes pioneered by our cave-dwelling forefathers. Since Laser Adventure offers convenient weekend hours, arriving early will ensure a full day of laser battling. The laser lair is open by reservation only Monday–Wednesday, but hours may change in the summer.

Besides being a fun-filled activity for families, friends, and Star Wars reenactment societies, laser tag is a socially acceptable way to enact revenge on your tool-“borrowing” neighbor by blasting him repeatedly with a flurry of precision, rage-relieving zaps. Since you can purchase multiple Groupons, hone your laser marksmanship at Laser Adventure in preparation for the day that galaxy-trekking bounty hunting becomes an Olympic event.

Call ahead for groups of 20 or more. Valid only at the indoor Goodletsville location.
