What You'll Get
Hair, like a pet, sheds constantly, requires upkeep, and oftentimes pops up on your face in the middle of the night when it's not welcome. Maintain socially acceptable follicular boundaries with today's Groupon: for $40, you get $80 worth of hair and waxing services at Lather Chicago. This Groupon is valid at the locations on Roscoe, Montrose, or Damen.
When not styling camera-ready coifs on various movie sets, owner Tim Toth guides the talented tress tamers at Lather Chicago. Whether trimming, styling, or tinting strands, stylists use products from brands such as American Crew, Davines, Kevin Murphy, and Unite. Before any head-strand harnessing begins, stylists study the shape, coloring, and species of each face to create a custom plan for lavishing locks. A haircut ($45+ for women, $30+ for men) carves a new shape into an amorphous mane, and a blow-dry ($30) protects hydrophobic shoulders. Partial highlights ($80), single-process color ($65), and relaxers ($85/hr.) give people a new 'do or a way to go unrecognized while vandalizing a coworker's desk. Face fuzz is deforested with precision threading (only available at the Damen location) and waxing for the brow ($15), upper lip ($10), and chin ($12).

About Lather Chicago
Lather Chicago caters to hair styling needs at three boutique salon locations throughout the city. Experienced stylists adeptly trim, sculpt, and color hair, eschewing the overly formal atmosphere and automated mustache-twirlers found in many modern salons. Shelves display a colorful phalanx of high-end tress treatments such as paraben and sulfate-free Kevin Murphy products, hair coloring from independent Dutch producer Keune, and hair conditioning solutions from Moroccanoil and Unite. When not catering to their clients' specific aesthetic needs, hair therapists host free events such as hair styling and drying tutorials.
