Lazy Magnolia

Mississippi native Mark Henderson began brewing beer with a modest home-brewing kit he received as a gift from his wife, Leslie, in 2000. Five years later, the Hendersons' first kegs of Lazy Magnolia beer were sold on the Gulf Coast. After Hurricane Katrina halted their operations for a few months, the brewery was back up and running that fall, and distributing beers throughout Mississippi by the following summer.

Located across Lake Borgne and the city of New Orleans, Lazy Magnolia is Mississippi’s oldest packaging brewery. While you can find its variety of brews at bars and retailers throughout the South and middle-America states, you can see, taste, smell, and touch what goes into the brewing process at their 26,000 square-foot brewery for a family-friendly tour Thursday through Saturday. Tour the facility and try up to six varieties of beer, and experience why Mississippi is nicknamed "the hospitality state.”
