Lazy Magnolia started on our back porch, along the banks of the Jourdan River. A grove of determined little Magnolia trees shaded our early brew days—they still provide shade to all those sitting on our back porch. These little trees barely survive the Mississippi heat and dry, sandy soil. Not surprisingly, they bloom late every year—the result of a mighty spirit overcoming adversity. With more than a touch of irony, we called them Lazy Magnolias.

This idea born under the Lazy Magnolia branches would become Mississippi’s First Packaging Brewery. That same spirit of survival and southern hospitality inhabits this new facility. Welcome to The Porch.
