Since they first started tinkering in a garage shop more than 25 years ago, partners Bill Anderson and JD McGhee have grown their hobby into a full-blown business that boasts a 46,000-square-foot facility, a state-of-the-art metal shop, and a staff of rigorously trained technicians. Computerized dispatch trucks travel to homes in need as their experts handle heating or air-conditioning conundrums with courteous, efficient service. Uniformed technicians behave professionally and wear shoe coverings in the house or risk incurring the wrath of Lynn (reachable by phone at 913-752-9234), who will ensure the trip charge for that visit is waived. LBA can also send master electricians and plumbers to fix home issues or speak with homeowners about installing cost-saving geothermal or solar energy systems. Bill and JD also use their talents to contribute to the community when they can, providing two pro-bono service appointments to an area cancer patient during the humid days of August.
