About Le P'tit Paris Bistro

The menu is full of stodgy but beloved classics like escargots with maitre d’hotel butter, onion soup, steak tartare, and coq au vin. Windsor Terrace has plenty by way of bagels and quick breakfast stops, but when you're in the mood to slow down and savor a taste of the old country, look no further than Le P'tit Paris Bistro, run by Olivier Jouannard. Like the menu itself, the interior of Le P'tit Paris Bistro is homey and comfortable, with linen napkins on the tables and black and white photos of familiar French landmarks lining the walls.“A la meuniere” means “in the fashion of the miller’s wife,” referring to the fact that the protein (often sole, or some other delicate fish like trout) should be lightly dusted in flour before being sauteed in brown butter. That way, the very thin layer of flour gets a bit caramelized in the butter and slightly thickens the sauce. The dish is finished with lemon and parsley.
