What You'll Get
Like masked superheroes, burlesque dancers costume themselves to thrill spectators with an air of mystery and make their arch-enemies feel young again. Unveil a vivacious alter ego with today's Groupon: for $35, you get a two-hour burlesque workshop from Le Scandal Cabaret (a $75 value).
During Le Scandal's two-hour burlesque workshops, students can shimmy, shake, and saunter under the skilled guidance of burlesque performer and producer Bonnie Dunn. Exclusive appointments ensure individualized attention for up to 20 pupils at one of Le Scandal's studio locations, which vary based on group size; or on-location throughout Manhattan (travel charges apply inside and outside Manhattan). Le Scandal unleashes inner pinups during bachelorette parties or other brands of soiree, also helping each client choose the best personalized burlesque moniker to display on future IDs. During the workshop, participants strut to burlesque choreography, learning to taunt audiences with feather boas and twirl tassels, which they craft with provided materials in class and take home afterward. Dunn also coaches students to remove accouterments with deliberate tease, slowly peeling off gloves to reveal fingers or hidden Hamburger Helper hands.

About Le Scandal Cabaret
Named The Godmother of Burlesque by Vogue Italia, Bonnie Dunn has led troupes of pasty-wearing burlesque dancers for more than two decades. In nightly shows, her daredevil performers perform acrobatics on the ceiling, gulp swords, and spit fire. Dancers also venture out to parties to reveal the secrets to their art, and in-studio classes teach students how to shimmy and shake like a pro. The class ends after students make their first set of pasties, then incinerate them so foreign agents never learn how to duplicate our burlesque technology.
