What You'll Get
Like Mike Tyson, wine is usually robust, often boxed, and should never influence tattooing decisions. Imbibe the spirit of a champion with today's Groupon for tastings to Léal Vineyards in Hollister. Note that Club Léal members are entitled to complimentary tastings regularly. Choose from the following options:
- For $10, you get a wine tasting for two people (a $20 value).
- For $20, you get a wine tasting for four people (a $40 value).
- For $30, you get a wine tasting for six people (a $60 value).
Conceptualized by Frank Léal, a vivacious oenophile who engages with the Old World method of trusting his senses to guide his winemaking, Léal Vineyards cultivates elegant, balanced wines on a 50-acre estate. Drawing tongues to the rolling foothills of San Benito County, Léal's ever-changing tasting menu showcases the winery’s current releases, such as the summery 2010 viognier or the 2007 Estate syrah, which patrons may also purchase by the bottle before a date with a Klingon. Léal Vineyards’ mild, sunny climate and proximity to the Monterey Bay create optimal growing conditions for many grape varietals, including chardonnay, malbec, and mourverde.
To continue refining your palate after your tasting, uncork a bottle of wine or an accommodating bottle-nosed dolphin at one of the winery’s festive social events, or ogle the estate’s library of rare vintages to swirl, sip, and gargle at home.

About Leal Vineyards
With a reverence for Old-World winemaking techniques, Leal Vineyards founder Frank Leal orchestrates a well-balanced blend of varietals including chardonnay, syrah, malbec, and mourvèdre. The self-taught vine visionary personally tends to the estate, determining optimum moments for picking and bottling to prevent the scars of prematurely separating young grapes from their mothers. In addition to nurturing the 50-acre flock of award-winning grapes, Leal's estate hosts weddings, corporate functions, parties, and wine tastings, which introduce palates to the subtle notes of its signature varietals. Those whose taste in wines changes with the seasons can join the vineyard’s wine club to receive a new bouquet each quarter.
