Setting off from the Macy’s parking lot at 10 a.m., up to 20 tour-goers spend six hours roaming the countryside in the incomparable luxury of one of Lee’s Limousine’s stretch party mobiles. During a stop at Saint Croix Vineyards or WineHaven Winery, guests can sample six varieties. The tour also includes a trip to the Eichtens’ family farm, where 350 mouths of American plains bison chomp on pasture grass and guests nosh themselves on samples of fine artisan cheeses. At the Garden Gate at Crabtree’s, guests browse a selection of Minnesotan-made gourmet treats, coffee, and wine alongside home decor and gadgets (not included with this Groupon). Daniela’s Chocolates also features mugs of steaming hot chocolate to warm throats and souls as guests reflect on their day’s journey. Right around 4 p.m., the limousine or limo coach returns to Macy’s.
Since purchasing a used limo in 1993, Leland “Lee” Casto has had the same job: transporting clientele on trips and tours throughout the Twin Cities. His fleet, however, is now significantly larger, with numerous vehicles including stretch limos that fit 6–22 passengers. Guests can sip refreshments from tumblers and champagne flutes as Lee whisks them off on all types of journeys, from bar-hopping excursions to airport-bound jaunts. He also accommodates patrons on several tours, which include winery visits, two gangster-themed expeditions, and guided treks past ghost-filled mansions and twinkling holiday lights.
