$79 for a Locally Grown Minnesota Wine-Country Limo Tour ($179 Value)
Running approximately six hours each Saturday, tours begin once limos pick riders up at Macy’s at Rosedale Center, located in the upper lot between Macy’s and J.C. Penney. Cruising toward wine country, riders first stop at Northern Vineyards for a tasting before heading to Eichten’s Hidden Acres, a family farm where they’ll sample a variety of artisan cheeses designed to pair well with wine. While there, customers can enjoy a quick bite at the onsite restaurant; a discounted lunch menu will be available for Lee’s Limousine customers.
After a short ride in the limo, riders will enjoy the sights of the Saint Croix River valley during a 40- to 80-minute Taylors Falls boat tour. A tour guide will point out unique rock formations and famous sites while tour-goers sip on wines available for purchase from the local winery WineHaven.
The trip ends with a final tasting at Wild Mountain Winery that includes a tour of the vines and a wine glass to take home. On a handful of Saturdays, tours will stop at St. Croix Vineyards in lieu of one of the other two wine stops.
Since purchasing a used limo in 1993, Leland “Lee” Casto has had the same job: transporting clientele on trips and tours throughout the Twin Cities. His fleet, however, is now significantly larger, with numerous vehicles including stretch limos that fit 6–22 passengers. Guests can sip refreshments from tumblers and champagne flutes as Lee whisks them off on all types of journeys, from bar-hopping excursions to airport-bound jaunts. He also accommodates patrons on several tours, which include winery visits, two gangster-themed expeditions, and guided treks past ghost-filled mansions and twinkling holiday lights.
