Q:

What is the body contouring. I have had spray tanning before but do not know what you mean by body contouring.

Cherie B.  asked on  Jul 26, 2012

A:

A contoured spray tan can enhance an athletic body, but no amount of contouring is going to hide more than a few extra pounds, and you can't airbrush cellulite away. Contouring with a smaller airbrush machine can enhance your body. Popular areas we contour are: cheekbones, cleavage, stomach, biceps, thighs, & back. This can also be used to darken specific areas. Hope this helps!

Q:

How long does the airbrush tan last? Also do you have a website for other services and pricing? :) thanks!

Laura B.  asked on  Jul 22, 2012

A:

Your body constantly gets rid of dead skin cells. This is why natural sun tans fade over a few days. Spray tanning only affects the outer skin layer, so again, as your skin cells are naturally shed, the spray tan will fade. It all depends on how you prepare your skin, and how you maintain it after your spray. Your tan should last 5-10 days, typically 7 days, but longer if you look after your skin by moisturising every day.

Our website is http://www.legallybronzedtanning.com

Q:

Body contouring isn't offered on your website. How can this be a 10.00 upcharge and also the sign on your store says $20.00 spray tans so really your only saving 3.00. That's not really a deal, especially what I would expect from groupon?

daniel c.  asked on  Jul 22, 2012

A:

Daniel, it is $20 for first time customers for 1 Airbrush Spray. Body contouring is not offered on our website because we have just added it to our menu, as well as airbrush for just the legs or face ($10). A regular custom airbrush spray tan can cost anywhere from $35-50 for just a single session.

Q:

I am wondering if the tan would rub off onto the bed sheets (if becoming intimate)?

Penny D.  asked on  Jul 22, 2012

A:

There is a good chance that the bronzer will come off on your clothes and/or bed sheets before you take your first shower after the spray tan is applied. It will come out in the wash as long as you don't wait an extremely long amount of time. We recommend that you wear darker colored, older, loose fitting clothes. If you feel this may interfere, make an early morning appointment so you can have your shower before bedtime!

Q:

would I be able to use the spray tan. I had sjin cancer?

Anne L.  asked on  Jul 22, 2012

A:

I believe you meant "skin." If you have had skin cancer, I would consult with your doctor first. However, if you are asking if spray tanning is safer than UV tanning, the answer is YES. Spray tanning is considered a "safe" alternative to indoor tanning and according to the Mayo Clinic; sunless tanning is a practical alternative to sunbathing. Since DHA works with the top layer of the skin, it is not absorbed through the skin – into the body and has no known toxicity. DHA has been used in cosmetic preparations and sunless tanning products since the 1960’s and has been listed with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) since 1973. However, DHA is restricted to external application only. DHA is not recommended for contact to areas of the body surface covered by mucous membrane such as lips, eyes and nostrils. If desired, proper eye, nose & mouth protection are available. Chap stick on the lips during your spray tan sessions is advised.
