The owner of Leku Ona, Jose Mari Artiach, arrived in the U.S. straight from the sunny Basque country. Coming to the United States as a Sheep Herder, Jose decided to change his career path in 2005 and opened a restaurant to share rich flavors and diverse culture of his beloved homeland with Boise community. Leku Ona means Good Place, and this is how the entire family can feel as they enter the restaurant. Warm colors and homey atmosphere welcomes guests to join the feast and learn more about the origin of traditional fares prepared by Basque chefs.
