Lemonade is one of only two things that are best when freshly squeezed—the other being the neck of a circus clown who just insulted your mother. Sample the joy of liquid lemons paired with homemade eats with today’s deal: for $6, you get $12 worth of eats and sips at Lemonade Restaurant. This Groupon is good at the following Lemonade Restaurant locations: West Hollywood, Venice, downtown, and MOCA.
Stacked and splayed on a chic glass-and-steel counter, Lemonade's menu of sandwiches, salads, pot roast, pastries, and cookies offers a "punchy take on a grade-school cafeteria," according to the New York Times. Tense hands can work out stress by wrapping tightly around a turkey sandwich with pickled onion, avocado, and grain aioli ($9) or a pot-roast lamb sandwich with Bulgarian feta and arugula ($9). Home-style fish and fowl plates include buttermilk baked chicken breast ($5) and albacore-tuna salad ($5). Mini cupcakes ($1) and caramel-frosted brown-sugar drops ($2) cap off hearty feasts and keep sweet teeth singing.
After diners work up a sweat eating everything in sight, a glass of chilled, freshly blended lemonade ($2.70) will cool bodily temperatures to reptilian levels. Lemonade's eponymous sips come in a variety of flavors, each of which is sweet enough to cause a smile, but sour enough to remind sippers that there are, in fact, liquid lemons in that cup.
