About Lester Park
A big part of Duluth's charm—and a big part of why Outside Magazine named Duluth 2014's Best Town in the USA—is its picturesque views of Lake Superior. And one unexpected place to see these great views is Lester Park, a public golf course that, along with its sister course, Enger Park, is part of Billy Casper Golf.
Lester Park, which first opened in 1932, boasts panoramic views of Lake Superior on 20 of its 27 holes. It is also laid out next to Lester River and snakes through open expanses and dense woods. A 3,417-yard Lake 9 course added in 1985 presents golfers with more of a challenge than having to come up with a proprietary celebratory dance for holes in one.
