The Deal

$30 for a Valentine's chocolate-cooking workshop for two adults or one adult and one child (a $65 value)

The skilled cocoa smelters at Let's Play in Italian lead groups of 10–12 students through the ins and outs of the chocolate-making process. Workshops, which are ideal for dates, parent-child bonding, or chocolate-factory corporate espionage, consist of preparing rocky-road chocolate fudge, truffles, chocolate candies, and other chocolate-covered treats. Ninety-minute workshops run on February 10 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on February 11 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., though more time slots may be added to accommodate demand.

Let's Play in Italian

Let's Play in Italian exposes kids, young adults, and adults to the culture and language of Italy through engaging programs that range from preschool activities to conversational Italian classes. Tykes up to 8 years old sing songs, tell stories, play games, and put on puppet shows and craft fairs during afterschool programs and Mommy & Me workshops, absorbing Italian vocabulary during their formative years before gray matter turns angsty and taciturn. Parents and kids alike can expand their linguistic repertoire with colorful books, CDs, and DVDs from an online bookstore.

Customer Reviews

I love their Italian accents. But I really loved how organized they were, they had plenty of help and supplies for everyone to truly enjoy making their chocolate creations. We had a very big class but my daughter and I will remember the things we learned.
