Grammy-nominated guitarist Manuel Barrueco is internationally recognized as one of the most important Spanish classical guitarists of our time. Hailed as a "major artist with a remarkable musicianship and a word of technique" by the LA Times and as a "superior musician" by the NY Times, his unique artistry has been described as possessing a seductive sound and uncommon lyrical gifts. A master of elegance and style, this Cuban-born legend has spent the last three decades bringing the guitar into music centers of the world. Currently a faculty member at the renowned Peabody Institute, Barrueco performs contemporary and classic songs at the Church of the Epiphany in this special Washington DC concert presented by Levine Music, a nonprofit music education center at which the legend is the 2015-2016 artist-in-residence.
