Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

how long do they typically last?

ly n.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

Lash extensions can last months at a time, but you must come back for your refills.

Q:

Estimate-How often should customers get refills?

Keltrice W.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

We recommend getting a touch up every two to six weeks. A natural eyelash falls off every 35 to 90 days on average due to the natural growth cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. A touch up is needed to replenish the lashes that have completed their life cycle.

Q:

do the eye lash extentions weaken the real eyelash in any way as far as them falling out?

Michele B.  asked on  May 9, 2013

A:

Lash extensions are applied to your existing natural lashes away from the base, the growth cycle of the natural lash is not affected. The extensions are placed one millimeter away from the base of the lash, where no contact to the skin occurs.

Q:

Can you recommend a brank of mascara that would be safe to use? I currently use Relelon Grow Luscious by Fabulash. Is that a safe one?

Janet Z.  asked on  May 11, 2013

A:

Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall sooner. Make sure if you get mascara that is specifically for lash extensions. There are a variety of different brands.

Q:

Ok, so the lash extensions can last for months at a time. The Groupon terms states that the Groupon has to be used within 120 days after it is purcahsed. If I decide to choose the option with 2 refills, it will stretch beyond 120 days. Will it expire before I can use the 2 refills? Does the 120 expiration apply to refills?

Keltrice W.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

As long as the lashes are done before the expiration date, you can get the fills after the expiration date if needed.

Q:

Are there any risks involved - ex: eyelash loss, eye infections?

Wendy S.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

They are applied to the lashes and not the skin and are completely safe and painless. Although eyelash extensions are not applied to the skin, allergic reactions are possible from the adhesive, under-eye pads or latex gloves. The area around your eyes is easily irritated by skincare products or cosmetics. Client's with known allergies should alert the lash tech prior to beginning the procedure.
