What You'll Get
Unlike typical auctions, silent auctions replace the lightning-fast commentary of auctioneers with lightning-fast outbiddings from Charlie Chaplin impersonators. Make muted bids with today’s Groupon from The Lexington Legends. Choose between the following options:
For $39, you get one ticket to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Winter Bash (up to an $80 value).
For $69, you get two tickets to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Winter Bash (up to a $160 value).<p>
The event takes place on Saturday, February 11 from 7:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Kentucky Ale Taproom at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
Voted by Lexington Herald-Leader readers as the city’s number-one source of family entertainment, The Lexington Legends host visitors in their ballpark’s Kentucky Ale Taproom for an evening of auctioneering, feasting, and basketball benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Throughout the night, guests can peruse and silently bid via a series of semaphores on offerings donated by The Lexington Legends and their corporate partners. Barkeeps at the event, sponsored by Kentucky Ale, decant delicious drafts and supply abundant wine pours at the open bar, while Window World of Lexington and The Lexington Legends fund a continuous supply of hors d’oeuvres and appetizers. Beginning at 9 p.m., televisions strewn throughout the Kentucky Ale Taproom will also broadcast that evening’s University of Kentucky men’s basketball game against Vanderbilt with PowerPoint histories of the alley oop during commercial breaks. Proceeds from every ticket sold assist St. Jude Children’s Hospital in its continued research and treatment of pediatric catastrophic diseases.

About Lexington Legends
When the Legends first stepped onto the field at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in 2001, they broke a nearly half-century dry spell of pro baseball in the city of Lexington. That first season, they made their presence known by winning the South Atlantic League championship and trying to rename City Hall after themselves. Since their inauguration in '01, the Legends have sent sent over 80 players to the majors, fulfilling the promise of their name and creating their own legacy.
