Very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to create one of the most unique and personal gifts I've ever bought. I had fun and my nephew loved receiving his "Life In Letters" gift.

What You'll Get

A great photograph brings together a shutterbug's observant eye, a subject's natural ease, and an editor's ability to crop out lewdly gesturing ghosts. Hang a prized photo on your wall with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of framed letter artwork at Life in Letters in Beavercreek.

The brainchild of 22-year-old photographer Cory Weaver, Life in Letters creates personalized artwork based on original images of letters that occur naturally in life, architecture, and landscapes. A nautical lifesaver that forms an O or an intricate guardrail that mimics a J becomes frame-worthy words when strung together to form baby names, inspirational phrases, or permanent grocery lists. Art lovers can design their own masterpieces to blanket bare walls by perusing hundreds of letter-like images to spawn a word of their choosing. Each opus is then matted, framed, and scored for potential Scrabble use by Cory's older brother, Kerry. Pricing for the lexical mosaics starts at $20 for a 2.5"x3.75" print, including frame, but varies depending on the ornateness of the frame and length of the word.

About Life in Letters

Easy as A-B-C, the artists behind Life in Letters craft custom photographic gifts available both in their shop and online. Over the years, they've amassed a vast collection of black-and-white photos of common objects and sights that resemble letters—such as arches, golf balls, fences, and palm trees—which they assemble into meaningful words, such as love, laugh, family, and nihilism. Once customers have chosen their word and selected each letter, they can have their piece matted and framed to suit their own decor or that of a loved one. The photographers also share their skills with aspiring shutterbugs during regular introductory photography classes.
