Which is better for hyperhidrosis treatment? Botox or Dysport How many units do you recommend for both underarm area? Thank you

Botox and Dysport should be equally effective. Doses probably start 40-50 units botox or 100-125 units dysport per side.

Q:

how much can you get done with 20 units both eyes? and is the other a filler for nasal folds?

kathleen c.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

20 units is the minimal dosing recommended for one area for an average sized American women. The Crow's feet for both eyes is considered as one area. However, dosing ideally should be determined by the physician after medical evaluation. Dysport is not a filler, it is another brand of Botulism toxin type A, like Botox.

Q:

I have used botox in the past and had great results. What is the difference between botox and dysport and why does it seem that you are offering MORE Dysport to produce the SAME results as botox (if they are the same)?

T S.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

Dysport is a European brand of the same medication as Botox, but due to the different manufacturing processes, their unit number is not the same, 50 units of Dysport will give a result comparable to 20 units of Botox, including the effects and longevity.
