Q:

Can you explain the "Up to Two Tapes or Up to Two Hours" of Video-to-DVD Transfer? Does that mean if I have two different VHS 8-hour tapes that you will transfer both of them to one DVD? Or that I could use two tapes but I have a total time limit of two hours that would be transferred? I don't know how much time is recorded on each 8-hr VHS tape, since my VCR broke so I can't view the tapes, and maybe it could be only 1-3 hrs, not the full 8.

dave f.  asked on  Nov 20, 2012

A:

Hi Dave! Sorry for the confusion! Yes, you can submit up to 2 tapes and they will transfer up to 2 hours worth of the material on all submitted tapes. 2 hours is the maximum amount transferable.

I'm sorry Rhonda, we don't copy anything with a copyright on it. Typically, these tapes also have copy guard coding so that they cannot be copied.

Q:

I have 30+ 8mm tapes that I need convert to DVD. Is that too many for you to help me with? I'd like to get them in a timeline order to be put on the DVD's. Any idea how many minutes are on an 8mm tape if full used? Thanks Brenda

Brenda S.  asked on  Nov 19, 2012

A:

Hi Brenda - Typically a 60 has 1 hour, a 120 2 hours. We have done libraries with hundreds of tapes, so it is not too large for us to help you with. If you'd like to bringyour collection in to our store, we will be happy to help. We look forward to serving you. My best - Lisa

Q:

Can you accommodate Beta tapes too? Apparently Beta was a dramatically better format, because years ago I copied a VHS tape that we'd had made from some old 8mm footage, and the Beta tape, even without any enhancement, had better clarity than the VHS we copied it from. Thanks..

Greg W.  asked on  Nov 18, 2012

A:

Yes, we can accommodate Beta. Thank you for asking.
