Q:

Can the 2 hours of flight instruction be credited towards an airplane checkout and/or a BFR if already licensed but not current.

Gregory Y.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

Yes you may use the 2 hours of flight training with the instructor to count towards a BFR and when doing a BFR through us it also qualifies as the aircraft checkout so that you can rent from our fleet.

Q:

What kind of aircraft is/are used for the Discovery Flight and flight instruction? Am I given a choice of high-wing/low-wing aircraft?

Brock G.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

A:

We have both Cessna (high wing) and Piper (low wing) aircraft available. We leave it up to the customer to decide what aircraft they would like to fly in but most people pick the Cessna.

Q:

For the 1-hour and 2-hour flight instruction options: is that on the ground or in the air?

Brock G.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

A:

It includes both. Usually about 15-20 minutes on the ground before the flight and then to the plane for actual flight training.

Q:

If I choose the 2-hour option, how many more hours of training are required on average for different levels of licensing or certification. This will be for my 16-year-old son.

Brock G.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

A:

The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training for a private pilot certificate. The average person that comes in and takes lessons 2-3 times a week will complete the necessary training in 40-50 depending on how they pick up the skills needed to fly the plane. Once you have a private pilot certificate then you can start to work on your commercial pilot certificate. This requires 250 hours of flight time. and yes the 2 hour package counts towards all of this.

Krysta g.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

Q:

i should be given the option when to schedule for a simulator or flight training before purchasing one of your options.

cenin t.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

The flight Simulator is only 15 minutes of the experience. We do the sim to prepare you for the actual flight. If you do not want the sim time then just buy an hour of flight time.
