Li-Lac Chocolates

In 1923, French confectionary training, a marble countertop, and some copper kettles were all George Demetrious needed to make his handcrafted chocolates. At his Greenwich Village shop, the scents of American-style candies wafted through the air, enticing passersby to sample the truffle squares, fudge, caramels, and butter crunch inside. And 92 years later, Anthony Cirone, the current owner of the Li-Lac Chocolates shop, still strictly adheres to Demetrious’s recipes and his chocolate-making style. The shop is also stocked with holiday treats, including Halloween themed chocolates in the shape of pumpkins, ghosts, and witches. Each day, clients can come to one of three locations and indulge in sweets that the staff produces daily in small batches to ensure flavor and freshness.

Customer Reviews

Their chocolate is excellent, but is very expensive. It's worth it some special occasion.

Clean, bright, friendly atmosphere. AMAZING chocolates! The specialty molds are great. The chocolate covered ginger is the best I have ever had!

The store was beautifully merchandised and the fellow who was there was terrific. Will go back for all my candies. And of course the chocolate is the best!
