Slightly disappointed because they had run out of wings the day before! Not the day we visited but day before. Loved my brisket & BBQ chicken! Greens were tasty. My husband loves Mac & cheese he was not impressed- dry cheese overcooked on top. His catfish was good. We plan on going back to hopefully taste those wings.😊
Tried it out with a friend for the first time. Food was served fresh, hot and flavorful. The beverage selection was appreciated as well. Refills are free which is nice too. The staff was friendly, couteous and fast. I would recommend others to give it try.

About Lillie Mae's House of Soul Food
Rhonda Gaulden-Manning learned to cook at a very early age. Her grandmother Lillie Mae and her mother Peggy used to welcome into their home anyone in need of a home-cooked meal. When in the kitchen, they would often ask Rhonda—only a child at the time—to help and bring them ingredients.
In 2010, Rhonda used that foundation to open her own restaurant: Lillie Mae's House of Soul Food, which she named after her grandmother. There, she serves home-style soul food staples including Southern fried chicken, beef brisket, and smoked BBQ pork ribs. On the side, Rhonda dishes out favorites such as hush puppies and cornbread.
