Amid 20 verdant and wooded acres, the three barns and two showing arenas of Linden Hill Stables perch in the shade of a century-old house, granting an ideal setting for horse-riding lessons or memorable birthday celebrations geared toward toddlers through adults. During the 30-minute private lessons, novices can learn the basics of stallion steering and experienced riders can practice more advanced techniques. Students are required to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes while atop one of Linden Hills’ well-trained horses, their own horse, or a 1,000-pound housecat.

During the birthday party, youngsters can frolic about the grounds, ride horses, feast on the supplied birthday cake and drinks, and enjoy amiable discourse with their new equine pals while admiring each other’s shoes. The helpful staff also provides party setup, cleanup, plates, and decorations for the bash and even surprises the birthday brood with a special performance by horses warbling “Happy Birthday.” In order to ride, all guests must arrive in long pants and boots or tennis shoes with solid bottoms and wear a helmet, which can be provided onsite.

Amid 20 acres of pastures and trails, the three barns and century-old home of Linden Hill Stables perch in the shade of mature trees, granting an idyllic setting for horse-riding lessons, birthday parties, and children's day camps. Property owner Lisa Hillmer tends to the horses each day, calling upon a lifetime of experience in training and showing American saddlebred horses. Through individually tailored riding lessons, Lisa helps students achieve personal goals, such as riding comfortably for enjoyment or participating in competitions. Her helpful staff also assists in boarding horses and monitoring kids at day camp. Students are required to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes while atop one of Linden Hills' well-trained steeds, their own horse, or a 1,000-pound housecat.

We love the stables, Ashley is terrific and great with all ages of children. They learn a lot about horses and have a blast playing games, making crafts and riding. We will definitely be going back!

Great lessons for my 6 year old granddaughter! Ashley is a perfect instructor for young people. Very patient, takes it in steps, and sensitive to the individual needs of the student. Wonderful place for beginner riders. Gentle horses for the young riders to learn on , also.
