What a find! Lindsey knows how to cut hair and just in time. I lost my stylist about 18 months ago and had been suffering through trying out new people. Bad haircuts, not listening to me, not serious about safety either! Nope. I have seen Lindsay twice now. First cut was a long time coming and it looked good the whole time between cuts too. Yesterday's cut feels good too. Happy to have found her. Nothing like a good haircut.
They were nice, but there was a clear smell of cigarette smoke, which I never go near due to the health effects. I also mentioned that the products need to be vegan and was told they are, but when I researched it, the company themselves say that some contain milk proteins. So instead I brought my own. Unfortunately the hairstylist still sprayed heat protectant into my hair, which I never do because of the chemicals and again, unsure if it didn’t contain any animal ingredients nor if it had been tested on animals. I had also shown several photos that showed a deep “V” cut and the hairstylist said she understood. I also mentioned and shower the layers aspect. She even asked if it would be okay to start just below my chin as my bangs were growing out, I said yes, that exactly what I wanted! She did frame my face a bit, but it gets lost with my hair, as I have a lot of it, which she also mentioned. The “V” is more like a very slight curve with a point in the center, the layers barely noticeable. I had asked for a clean cut, but this was not what I had in mind. Add the misinformation of the non-vegan products and on top of this, being sprayed when I asked not to be .. not too thrilled. Besides this though, the groupon price was fair and the hairstylist was friendly. But I’ll probably be sticking with supercuts and the likes for a while… they would’ve done it according to what I ask and not have added products that I didn’t want. If you go, make sure to voice what you want, be insistent to get what you’re paying for.
