What You'll Get
Having a partner turns bouncing a ball into a tennis match, a monologue into a conversation, and a hug a little less sad. Experience the power of pairing wine and music with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get two tickets to Cool Beats n' the Summer Heat Wine Festival at Linganore Winecellars in Mount Airy. Choose between the following dates:
- Saturday, August 27
- Sunday, August 28
Gates open at 11 a.m. on both days, and children aged 17 and younger get in free with adult admission.
Since the Aellens planted their first seeds in 1972, the 230 scenic acres of Linganore Winecellars have produced barrels of buzz-worthy grape sauce and now form a picturesque perch for the Cool Beats n' the Summer Heat Wine Festival. Participants can stroll the grounds sampling bites from myriad food vendors, swilling sips of libations, and perusing local artisans' creations. The bopping, Latin jazz tunes of The Bossa Brothers Trio and Big Cam & the Lifters' covers of 60s classics set the soundtrack to both days, and tours of the prolific facilities dispense fascinating information on harvesting, pressing, and aging the winery's juicy orbs and occasional rogue winged grape.
Groupon customers who didn't make it to the event on August 27 and 28 due to Hurricane Irene may redeem their Groupon at the event on October 15 and 16.

About Linganore Winecellars
On February 1, 2011, Linganore Winecellars' staff members celebrated with a barrel tasting. They had just finalized the winery's transition to operating on strictly sustainable wind power.
Founded in 1971 by the Aellen family, Linganore has since expanded in every way, from its grape selection to new bottling rooms to a renovation of the offices in the 19th-century barn on the grounds. Today, the sustainable winery stocks more wines than ever before, with its award-winning selection including traditional grape varietals, fruit wines, and specialty bottles. The idyllic winery routinely hosts events as well, with concerts, tastings, and tours taking place 361 days out of the year, granting the grapes four days to just hang out.
