Q:

My daughter is turning 3 in October. Would she be eligible for the group lesson or would she have to wait until October?

April W.  asked on  Apr 11, 2013

A:

April- At her age it is best to enroll her into private lessons. For safety and for her to be able to learn the basics.

Q:

I'M PLANNING ON BUYING 2 - PRIVATE LESSONS AND I HAVE A 6 YEARS OLD AND 8 YEARS OLD, CAN THEY USE THE GROUPON AT THE SAME TIME? AND BE ON THE SAME CLASS? ARE THEY GOING TO HAVE EACH SWIMMING INSTRUCTORS? THANK YOU!

MARITES F.  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

Marites- you have a few options. if you buy the private class deal you can have them in back to back 20 min privates or side by side private lessons (just depends on what we have open that works with your schedule) Or you can combine the 2 privates into a 40 min 2:1 ratio class where they can swim together if they are the same level.

Q:

Hello, My son used a similar groupon wit you last summer. My mother in law just bought him two sets for this summer, not realizing this was the same school he already attended. Is it okay that he return with the groupon, eventhough he attended last summer? He will not have been enrolled with your school for almost 10 months by the time we plan to use this groupon. If it is not okay, what do you suggest we do with the gifted groupon? Thanks.

Natalie K.  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

As he has used their services before, he is not a new client and ineligible for this offer. I suggest your mother in law contact Groupon at support@groupon.com or 877.788.7858 and we'd be more than glad to assist her.

Q:

I have 2.5yr old twins that I'd like to enroll in private swim lessons. Would they each be assigned an instructor and if so, would it be possible for them to have the class together so that they both start and end their lesson at the same time?

Lavonna M.  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

Lavonna- At their age you can do some different options. You can have them be in a group class with you in the water with them one adult for each kid or you can have them be in private lessons. Due to their age we would only have them in a semi private or group class with a parent in the water for safety. If you did not want to get in the water for a baby class you can put them in privates and either wait for side by side classes with two teachers or back to back lessons so one is in and then the other gets in after. It would be up to you. You can call us if you have more questions about the class structure 798-3170. Usually at 2.5 parents enroll into private lessons and merge into a small group once students are able to roll and float alone and sit safely waiting for their turn.

Q:

My son will be 4 years old mid-August. I would like to put him in lessons in June. If I purchase the group lesson groupon, do you have group lessons for almost 4 year olds?

Laurie  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

Laurie We do offer group lessons for 4 year olds it would just depend on what we had open in June. It would be best to call or email us in May to see what may be open for June.

Q:

The fine print reads "new swimmers only"....does that mean kids who don't know how to swim (have never had lessons) or kids who are new to this particular school? I have two kids who have had lessons before, but are at different abilities. Would this work for them? Thanks, Beckie

Beckie F.  asked on  Apr 9, 2013

A:

Sorry it looks like all the answers got jumbled up. New swimmers means new clients to the center we take all levels. Groupon will re word that so it is clear. Thank you for pointing that out

Q:

Do these lessons require purchase of the family membership? Also, Is it possible to just do the groupon lessons without going beyond and needing to withdraw 30 days in advance and etc.?

Summer  asked on  Apr 9, 2013

A:

Summer- Sorry it looks like the answers got jumbled. No you do not have to buy any membership, pay any enrollment fee or need to be tied to a class beyond your groupon class.

Q:

It says a limit two per family does that translate into two back to back uses (eight lessons) for my 2.5 yr old daughter?

Steve H.  asked on  Apr 9, 2013

A:

Steve- Hello, yes you could buy to and use it for back to back lessons for your daughter so that she is attending 8 weeks of lessons. When you book your lesson you would just let the office know that you are wanting to use two vouchers for 8 weeks so that your spot is reserved for you.
