Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

So do we have to order a week's worth (5 main) at one time? or can we spread the 5 main meals out over different weeks?

rosy s.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

If you purchase the "1 week worth of delivered small gourmet meals, including 5 main courses" it would have to be in 1 week, from 1 menu, at one time. You can not spread the 5 main courses out over different weeks.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

I apologize if I am repeating a question that has already been answered. Our family does not eat pork or beef. As I look at your weekly menus they all contain pork, beef or both. Can the week's order be tailored so we won't receive pork or beef?

Pat D.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

We have 5 main courses every week that change. 2 of the main courses are always chicken, turkey, or seafood and 1 is always a vegetarian/pasta dish. That would give you at least 3 different main course items and then you can change the quantity of those items from 1 to 2 to equal out 5 main course items. The week of December 12th - 14th (http://littlespoonfuls.com/familymenu.html) we only have 1 beef/pork main course, 1 shrimp, 2 chicken, 1 pasta, that would give you 4 items and you can change the quantity of 1 of those dishes to 2 so you can get your 5 small main course items.

Q:

I love this idea because I am going to have a baby and would love not to worry about making dinner when the baby comes. I'd love to get the 4 week plan. The only issue is that baby is due end of February but your Groupon expires Jan. 27. Would you be willing to honor it for another month for me? Also, how big are the meals. Your website says small feeds 2 adults, but are they hearty portions or weight loss type portions?

Dawn M.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Im sorry we can not extend the expiration date past January 27th for this deal. January 27th is the last day you can place your order so you can place your order the week of January 27th 2013 and Little Spoonfuls will have 4 weeks of advanced menus available at that time that will go into February. So you would be able to get meals delivered in February for this Groupon Deal but you must place your order before the expiration date of January 27th 2013. All our meals come FRESH, but 99% of our meals can be frozen and come freezer ready if you need to save some meals for after the baby arrives. The small size feeds 2 adults with small appetites. If that doesnt work for you, you can also order the "medium" size options with this deal. This would of course cut down on how many items you would be able to order and you would have to order ALL medium sizes, family sizes, or all small size. You can not mix and match the sizes with this deal. If you upgraded to "Medium Size" or "Family Size" with this deal, your Groupon Deal would cover the "value" of the deal minus the value added for delivery fee that is included in the deal. Example: $55 for one week of delivered small gourmet meals, including 5 main courses (up to a $110 value): The food value is $100 which could be used towards upgrading to a different size meals. (the additional $10 value goes towards delivery, which is included in this deal) $105 for two weeks of delivered small gourmet meals, including 10 main courses (up to a $220 value): The food value is $200 which could be used towards upgrading to a different size meals. (the additional $20 value goes towards delivery, which is included in this deal) $199 for four weeks of delivered small gourmet meals, including 20 main courses (up to a $440 value): The food value is $400 which could be used towards upgrading to a different size meals. (the additional $40 value goes towards delivery, which is included in this deal) ** Just remember you can not mix and match the sizes with this deal. You would have to order ALL medium sizes, all family sizes, or all small size. Little Spoonfuls Serving Size: Our family meals come in three different sizes to choose from: Small, Medium, & Family size. Small: is perfect for 2 adult with small appetites or 1 adult with a good appetite or 2 children. For example, a small meat main course dish would come with 2 pieces of meat. Small container is a 5 x 7. Medium : is perfect for 2 adults and 2-3 children or 4-6 children. For example, a medium meat main course dish would come with 4 pieces of meat. Medium container is 9 x 11 (size of a casserole dish). Family: is perfect for 2-3 adults and 4-5 children or 8-12 children. For example, for our main course meat dishes, a family would come with 8 pieces of meat. Family size is 2 medium containers.
