What You'll Get
Yoga challenges the mind and body without the violence and hurt feelings of full-contact chess. Steer clear of over-aggressive pawns with today's Groupon: for $40, you get a 10-class punch card at Liv Yoga Bellevue (a $100 value).
Students of all skill levels follow Liv Yoga's attentive instructors through gentle, Hatha-based hot yoga classes all week long. Beginners become accustomed to the basic postures in a slower-paced, one-hour Hatha class in tame, balmy 80-degree temperatures to provide a deeper stretch without melting fledgling yoginis into puddles of their former selves. Students unfurl personal or rented ($1) yoga mats for 90-minute hot sweat sessions as the studio temperature climbs up to 100 degrees, helping mat mavens to hone concentration skills, and a series of poses builds strength, flexibility, and helps to rid the body of toxins. Vinyasa classes take students through flowing movements and poses, including sun salutations and downward-facing dog, connecting each with mindful breathing exercises. The gentle class, meanwhile, rejuvenates the mind and body with milder stretches such as downward-facing manatee.

About Liv Yoga Bellevue
Kelli Morgan is so passionate about yoga that she can't help but share it with others. Her zeal for the discipline surfaced in 1989, when she began studying Bikram yoga, a series of 26 poses performed in a heated room. Eleven years later, she completed the 500-hour teacher-training program at Bikram's Yoga College of India and launched a career as a hot-yoga teacher. Since then, she's also incorporated traditional, non-heated yoga into her class lineup at Liv Yoga Bellevue. Hatha sessions focus on alignment and breathing techniques, whereas Vinyasa classes meld breath and movement into a practice that moves fluidly, like a freshly shaven dolphin. The studio also hosts yoga classes for kids aged 4–10 and participates in community events such as Yoga Rocks the Park.
