Choose Between Two Options

  • $99 for a six-hour guided rock-climbing tour for two (a $250 value)
  • $199 for a six-hour guided rock-climbing tour for four (a $440 value)

Starting at 9 a.m., the group of climbers heads to an area dubbed “the crag” to learn basic climbing knots, commands, techniques, and safety before the guides demonstrate the fundamentals of belaying. Once everyone has the basics down, they take rented climbing gear and scramble up three to eight routes, most of which are rated 5.5–5.9 in difficulty. At 2:30 p.m., the group hikes back to the parking lot, arriving by 3 p.m. Click here for a list of currently available tour dates.

Live Adventure

Several years ago, brothers Branndon and Greg Bargo set out on a mammoth adventure. Not sure what exactly they were after, they biked 4,000 miles from Alaska to Mexico and found themselves submerged in the open waters of the Pacific, scuba diving with sharks. It's times like these when you begin questioning why you still have a desk job, so in 2005 Branndon kissed his cubicle goodbye and founded Live Adventure.

Today, the company continues to thrive as a means of encouraging people to challenge themselves while discovering deeper connections with the world around them. Within Cedar Hill State Park, the guides organize team-building programs and encourage groups to kayak, swim, and fish on Joe Pool Lake. Other expeditions include rock-climbing outings and guided jaunts around the planet.

Customer Reviews

We had a great time! Our guides (Daniel and Josh) were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time with us to make sure we were comfortable and safe before we started climbing.

Without Groupon I probably would not have heard about Live Adventure. Now I would recommend it to anyone interested in rock climbing. I had a great experience. The guides were informative and motivational. They encouraged us to do more than we thought we could and at the end of the day we all felt like we had accomplished more than we ever thought possible. It was totally worth the sore muscles and the dirt under our fingernails.
