I will start by saying we had a great time. The staff was extra helpful and there is a massive variety of options for projects to do. We chose to paint ceramics on this visit, so that is what I will be reviewing.
There are lots of paint colors (even speckled paint!!), stencils and there are aprons to wear while creating. However, there was a limited selection of blank usable items; mugs is what we were after. Nearly all of the options had a design either etched in or printed on and can be seen through the paint. I was hoping to find a fun or unique shaped mug, but there were only two options for blank mug shapes: standard mug and tall, narrow mug.
Also, the glaze on my project was pooled in the bottom of the mug and there was a spot where it either touched another project, or got a drop of someone else's project got onto mine in the kiln. This left a raised, jagged, unglazed spot.
Overall, I was pleased with our experience and am grateful that they were open the last two weeks before the COVID Stay-at-Home Order was officially announced.
