I'm so impressed by the super friendly staff and the fact that they offer such a personalized program for each individual...even on a Groupon. I'm definitely going back to take advantage of other services they offer.

This cafe is not your typical cafe it is set in a holistic health practice and food is the cornerstone to good health. Keep an open mind, if your looking for cheap go to Mc Donalds, it is cheap on every level. The cafe presents whole raw food in a new exciting way, not your typical salad or veggie wrap. ENJOY!

What You'll Get

Raw food lets natural flavors speak for themselves, unlike cooked cuisine, which insists on beeping loudly when it’s finished in the microwave. Feast on fresh fare with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

 • $20 for a raw-food class for one (a $40 value)
 • $38 for a raw-food class for two (an $80 value)
 • $99 for a 21-day custom detox program (a $300 value)

In two-hour classes of 15 or fewer students, Dr. Erica Steele of the Essential Wellness Center expounds upon easy ways to make meals with raw, organic, unprocessed ingredients that never encounter a stove or microwave. Themed classes—which explore subjects such as 10-minute meals and kid-friendly fare, as well as seasonal topics like “Pumpkin and Spice with Everything Nice” and “Raw Food Thanksgiving”—feature live preparation demonstrations and bestow students with take-home recipes and a Food as Medicine guide upon departure. Sessions take place every Monday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m., with additional classes are being added.

Dr. Steele’s 21-day detoxification program focuses on designing customized meal plans for each client, which use raw foods to bolster metabolisms and deep-cleanse the body. In addition to attending meal-preparation classes and meeting with a naturopath to track their progress, clients gain unlimited access to the cleansing dry saunas, steam rooms, and infrared saunas throughout the three-week program. Additional dietary supplements are available for purchase, and Groupon customers may buy these products at a 20% discount.

About Living Foods Cafe

The only flame that grazes Living Foods Cafe's comestibles is the fiery passion that Chef Morgan Wood has for preparing healthy meals out of raw, organic ingredients. The all-natural, made-from-scratch salads, wraps, and fresh smoothies that form the eatery's seasonal menu contain fruits, vegetables, and herbs that retain all of their nutrients by never experiencing heat warmer than 105 degrees. The staff at this small, simple café shares its knowledge of raw foods during workshops that teach students the healing properties of food and how spinach can make a person strong enough to beat the Statue of Liberty in a thumb war.
