When owners Paolo and Michelangelo opened Locanda Positano in 2010, they named it after Michelangelo's seaside summer vacation home. Now a getaway for locals in the heart of Marina del Rey, Locanda Positano conjures that vacation home in more ways than just its name: its kitchen also abounds with fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and wild game. From that kitchen, chef Michelangelo and his staff churn out signature handmade pastas, including the popular pappardelle al cinghiale. This dish features braised wild boar and homemade pappardelle served with a red wine reduction. These elegant creations are a fitting compliment to the restaurant's intimate atmosphere, where dark woods flow and wine bottles act as colorful accents instead of indoor fireworks.
