The Lodge at Giants Ridge is a four-season resort that’s three-and-a-half hours from the Twin Cities, which is just enough time to write and record a Top-40 single. The resort, featuring rolling greens erupting with trees stocked with friendly cardinals, is a wondrous wilderness getaway while still being equipped with WiFi, indoor and heated outdoor pools, a fitness center, and a game room. The one-bedroom Mesabi condo, which sleeps up to four, bursts with contemporary convenience and rustic charm. Rough-hewn woodsy furniture, earth tones, and modern details animate the king-sized bed in the bedroom, the living space with double futon, and the fully equipped kitchenette ready to take on any omelette emergency. Tucked into the scenic wilderness of northern Minnesota, Lodge at Giants Ridge occupies a prime location for enjoying the area’s year-round outdoor recreation. In the winter, skiers flock to slopes deemed some of the Midwest’s best by Ski magazine. Summer, on the other hand, is the time for hiking, mountain biking, and golfing at two of _Golf Digest_’s Top 100 courses in the nation—The Quarry and The Legend courses, ranked 20th and 72nd, respectively.
Elsewhere on the property, chefs at Timbers Restaurant prepare sirloin steaks, fettuccine alfredo, and homemade pizzas in a laid-back atmosphere.
