About Austin Sports & Social Club

Fitness is important, but so is not being bored. Austin Sports and Social Club aims to kill two birds with one stone in its coed athletic events for grown-ups. Teams assemble for friendly, competitive seasons of flag football, indoor soccer, kickball and dodgeball, tennis, bowling, and other events, working up a sweat and socializing at the same time. Sometimes things go beyond the simple formula of one team challenging another: organized events, such as the 5th annual Downtown Dash, see teams of two doing battle with both their feet and their brains as they race around the city. Some, but not all, venues permit the consumption of a beer or two, and organizers encourage attendance at post-victory (or loss) happy hours.
