Playwright Charles Busch (Die, Mommie, Die! , The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife) mashes up ’50s psychodramas, ’60s surfer films and ’80s slasher horror flicks into a truly madcap comedy. Teenage tomboy Chicklet Forrest desperately wants to be a part of the cool-kid crowd on Malibu Beach. But the strange attacks plaguing her seaside town just might be the doing of one of her hidden personalities. Hilarity ensues as mischief, madness, and the passionate pursuit of the perfect wave come crashing over the heads of the audience as beach blankets and Hitchcockian psychological suspense thrillers are tossed around when this rollicking romp at the Long Beach Playhouse.
