Instructors cement bonds between rider and steed during 60-minute lessons on equestrian fundamentals. Alternatively, five-day summer-camp sessions encompass activities on horseback— such as lessons and trail rides—as well as crafts, guidelines for barn safety, and grooming contests. Parents are welcome to attend a barbecue and horse show on the last day. Camp meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday, though the timing is flexible to accommodate visitors. At summer camp, counselors shepherd kids of all ages through daily rides and the basics of horse care, as well as horse-themed crafts.
