What You'll Get
Violinist In Mo Yang, the recent winner of the prestigious 2015 Paganini Competition, shows off his mastery of the composer's work with a performance of the famed virtuoso's first concerto, as he joins Maestro Ronald Feldman and the Longwood Symphony Orchestra at Boston's Jordan Hall. You'll also be treated to Rossini's spritely overture to The Barber of Seville, as well as Stravinsky's lush Divertimento from The Fairy's Kiss, a ballet based on a Hans Christian Andersen story that premiered in Paris in 1928. Dubbed "an arresting performer" by the Boston Globe, the Korean-born Yang won three other special prizes at the Premio Paganini contest in Genoa this year, including the audience-appreciation award.
