The Cabrera brothers came to Houston in search of the American dream. And they found it, thanks to their tacos, quesadillas, and ceviches. As the force behind Los Cucos Signature Cafe, the brothers created a menu of classic and appetizing Mexican dishes, with a few touches—including a list of ingredients that is largely free of gluten, fat, and MSG—that give a nod to modernity and gourmet dining. Diners in search of fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas will find them, but the roster of dishes offers up a few surprises as well, such as octopus cocktail, grilled quail, fried stuffed avocado, and sometimes yelling "boo" in a very loud voice.
