About Los Gauchitos

Although its recently under new ownership, Los Gauchitos has existed in one form or another since 1986. All of that time it's been a haven for diners in search of authentic Argentine and Uruguayan food prepared by natives of those countries. The restaurant's specialties are pasta and grilled-to-order steak, especially the parillada—or mixed grill—for two, which also includes sausages and other cuts. Such dishes pair nicely with churrasco-style sauces such as chimichurri and any one of the myriad South American wines on display. Most dinners finish up with a cake or pastry from the associated bakery next door.
