What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Lotus Creations is a nascent performing arts nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn, NY with the express goal of offering dance classes for anyone and everyone with the desire to learn, try something new, explore how one's body moves, and create works of art with us.
What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Try something new! Whether or not you think you'll be good at something, try anyway. Dance is about expressing oneself and communicating with others. Find what works for you and make it yours. There are endless possibilities in dance, but you have to try to discover how fantastic you are.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
We wanted to connect dance instructors with eager students who could not afford to pay upwards of $25/hr for a dance class. So, we sought to create a space for learning and performing that did not cost an arm and a leg.
What do you love most about your job?
We love meeting new students, families, and artists who are as passionate about dance as we are and who are willing to put themselves out there and just dance.
