Fitness classes awaken the body and spirit, allowing participants to forecast oncoming weather, traffic patterns, and un-winning lottery numbers, like "four" and "peanut." Hit the existential jackpot with today's deal: for $40, you get 10 classes at Lotus Kitty Yoga & Spin in Studio City (a $130 value). All 10 classes must be used within two months.
Employing a variety of body toning and stress relieving classes, Lotus Kitty's experienced instructors will whip students of all fitness levels into physical, mental, and emotional shape. Traditional yoga or Pilates classes lengthen limbs and de-stress mind muscles, and spin classes seat class-goers atop a stationary bike for a blood-pumping, muscle-soring workout. Lotus Kitty also offers hybrid classes in the form of spin/yoga or spin/sculpt, creating a perfect union of aerobic exercise, muscle toning, meditation, and sweating in front of strangers. Find the class time that fits your schedule.

Lotus Kitty Hybrid Fitness
During a video feature for Warp Factor 2, Vanessa Giorgio summed up the problem that led to her studio's creation: "I couldn't get my spinners to calm down, and I couldn't get my yoga students to hype up." The personal trainer founded Lotus Kitty Hybrid Fitness to hybridize the two workouts, thereby creating a rounded fitness regimen for the body and mind.
Inside the studio, her spin instructors contribute vigorous cardio work during their 45-minute classes. They prompt riders to pedal at varying resistances, which mimic outdoor conditions such as hills and fields full of prairie-dog holes, then end each lesson with sit-ups and pushups. Yoga teachers lead posing sequences that change weekly to prevent muscle boredom. They are often designed to address the tightness and stress that accompany spin sessions.
Yoga isn't the only thing that Lotus Kitty's instructors combine with spin sessions. Classes pair the cycling workouts with the body-sculpting suspension training of TRX, add a muscle-toning triple threat of Barre, and light resistance training, and fuse together many others of the studio's seven routines. The philosophy is simple: keep the body challenged and the mind intrigued. The constant change in workout tempos motivate students to continue with their training. In the popular Power Cycling/Yoga Class, athletes balance their fitness yin and yangs by mixing the cardio intensity of spinning with the calming, lengthening benefits of yoga. Students can also forgo power cycling altogether and engage in a pure form of TRX, Barre, or Yoga. In addition to its group curriculum, the studio hosts private training, sports massage, reiki healing sessions and Organic Spray Tanning.
